Behind the Hump is an independent studio in Larisa, Greece building games, worlds, comics, applications and other digital products. We make our own titles — most recently Forgotten Eras, a Metroidvania-inspired action-adventure in Unreal Engine 5 — and the same team takes on selected collaborations with other studios, publishers and clients.
Everything below is work we do in-house, every day, on our own titles.

How We Work
Create
We start with the world. Lore, concept art and the feel of a place come before a single system is built — so everything that follows has something to be faithful to.
Develop
Systems, art and audio come together in Unreal Engine 5. We prototype early, play often, and keep the build in a state we can show.
Promote
A finished game still needs an audience. We build the storefront presence, the press materials and the community alongside the game, not after it.
Our Toolkit
The tools our team works in daily.
- Unreal Engine 5.2
- ZBrush
- Substance Painter
- Notion
Work With Us
We take on a small number of collaborations alongside our own projects — co-development, art, audio or full production. If you have something in mind, we would like to hear about it.
